What do the letters THC, THCA, and CBD in your menu mean?2018-03-22T16:39:53-07:00

THC stand for Tetrahydrocannabinoid and it is the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis that causes feelings of euphoria. People who seek to induce euphoric sensations seek the products with the most THC (THC+); people seeking to minimize the psychoactivity of the plant, seek lowest levels of THC (THC-)

THCA is a precursor to THC and it is listed as a reference. Many dispensaries list only one of these values (THCA) to inflate the perception that their medicine has more THC than accurate. We list both values to avoid confusion.

CBD is a different Cannabinoid than THC and has no psychoactive properties. In fact, medicine containing high levels of CBD will prevent the euphoric sensations caused by THC and it is prefered by patients who wish to avoid those sensations. Many states only allow the use of CBD cannabis. It is also the prefered medicine for children and animals to avoid the confusion that may be caused by psychoactivity.

How much edible should I eat? What is an edible dose?2019-01-21T17:17:52-07:00

Edibles affect everyone differently. Your experience may vary depending on what you have eaten and how much you weigh. If you consume and ingest an exponential amount of cannabis edibles, this can result in varying degrees of temporary anxiety. We advise you to be careful with your dosage. The best way to see how an edible will affect you is to consume a tiny dose and wait at least two hours before consuming more. You may find that smaller edibles such as caramel corn, peanuts, or chocolate bites may be best since you can eat a couple of pieces at a time and sustain a mild medicated effect. Although you can consume a plethora of edibles, you may feel uncomfortable but won’t be in danger.

As far as doses and milligrams, doses are the edible chef’s subjective interpretation of what a proper single dose is; the perfect amount for the average person. Milligrams displays strengths in a more scientific and accurate way. When an edible maker puts milligrams of active cannabinoids on their packaging, this means that the edible has been lab tested and have shown the lab results. Patients will unlikely feel anything below 10mg. The average dose is between 20-50mg although many patients can consume +100mg per day (not recommended for new users).
